Seen 'em come and seen 'em go and seen 'em come back.

It appears ABC has cancelled Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone and Pushing Daisy’s while 4 more episodes of Life on Mars have been ordered and the show will move to Wednesday at ten following Lost which simply must be a better timeslot for a time traveling cop show than following Grey’s Anatomy. I hope the audience follows and grows

BUT the big news this week is that the CW will begin re-airing the episodic, post apocalyptic, fan favorite Jericho on Sunday nights. This news, coupled with the recent lockout of fans from the CBS Jericho board has some speculating that the 2 events are somehow linked. Stay Tuned...

I'm not sure about the "speculation" buzz with respect to The CW Network. I do know that CW is owned in part by CBS in a joint venture with Warner Brothers Entertainment. I do know that CW's ratings sucked on Sundays and they're bringing on some shows, Jericho amongst them, to fill the void of the fired media company that failed with it's shows. I do know that CW is looking for fresh programming catering to a younger audience, and trying to boost their ratings. They're a small corporation, about 200 employees - so the little "train that could" or the "david and goliath" theory might well work here. Dawn has a real disdain for Nielsen, so we have commonality here. It is a hope that The CW Network would entertain a movie perhaps for Jericho, or a new series. And in the time of prices falling, the 3 million per episode could easily fall to half that in our deflation mode and be doable by a smaller network. Given all this, it is a chance, and a chance beats no chance at all. Moreover, it's another opportunity to fill our ranks in the fandom and have fans that are fresh and new to Jericho and can bring their excitement to our members too! It will be interesting as it's always been to see what happens next. I will add I'm not as mad at CBS for closing the board - which we all knew would happen eventually - as I am the broken promises of the producers last summer that we'd have plenty of notice beforehand. Shame on them! I'm off my podium now LoL

Funny I got more upset with CBS cause they told that to the producers and then did not keep their word. Who knows who's to blame. I guess in my rose colored way I hoped they told us that in good faith. Thanks for sharing what you know. Now I know some things that I didn't. I agree this is the best thing to happen to Jericho in a long time.

The opening up on The CW was a fluke. The company that had bought the Sunday night slots were behind on their payments (according to the Variety article) and The CW was able to nulify the Sunday night contract.

I don't think anyone at The CW, CBS, CBS Paramount or Junction saw this coming.

I think it would have been nice to get a few days warning, but I doubt that CBS Interactive knew about the promises to Junction Entertainment.
