Carol Rocks Jeritopia!
.
Carol Barbee arrived in Jeritopia last night to find upwards of 58 Jericho nuts pumped and ready to receive their beloved head honcho. Xwarp rolled out the Red Carpet and the Q and A broke off into a gallop to rival the pace of our upcoming episodes. Schumi was an elegant master of ceremonies. She outdid herself organizing and releasing the questions of the crowd. An amazing job considering it seemed there were as many questions as folks in attendance. I got to ask Carol a question that has been on my mind for quite some time. I asked if Bonnie had been written as a deaf character before they cast Shoshannah Stern. Carol replied that Bonnie had not been written as deaf and that the scripted Bonnie Richmond more closely resembled the character of Skylar Stevens, so much so that they were difficult to tell apart. When Shoshannah showed up to read for the part of Emily “She was amazing (and too young for Emily) and we finally knew who Bonnie was.” There sure are a lot of interesting alternate realities to ponder in that story! The un-moderated beginning and end of the chat were something to behold as the welcomes and thank you’s scrolled spitfire across the screen. It was an extraordinary evening.
The people at Jeritopia have been working overtime this week to get the summaries and transcripts released for these chats. Already you can find those of Jennie Sword and Karim Zriek HERE and HERE respectively. Tonight the march toward season 2 continues in Jeritopia with a visit from writer Matt Federman in the Town Hall room at 10 PM EST. -02/07/08

Eric and Stanley on Shaun Omac 02/06
.
From Amy at Remote Access: "Eric Green and Stanley Richmond (Kenneth Mitchell and Brad Beyer in “real” life) will be on Shaun O’Mac’s radio show, live tonight. They’ll be on for “as much of the second hour of the program as they want to be on for,” starting at 11 p.m. EST. Go here for the show." -02/06/08

"Part of the Family"
.
If you are a Jericho fan Monday the 4th of February was something of a dream. Jeritopia held a scheduled formal chat with Jennie Sword. Scumi did teriffic job of keeping order in the court as usual and the Q and A went on for about an hour and a half. It was very nice to spend time with Towniejen in such an informal and downright civil gathering. She is a neat lady and I am sure that many of us will be watching as she steps through the doors which are opening for her. Thanks Jennie!
Now, this alone is enough excitement to send this old man to bed but the Jericho crowds continued to go wild in Jeritopia throughout the day yesterday and far into the night as Jeritpoia saw unscheduled visits from Karim Zreik, Jon Steinberg and Clare Carey. (Dan Shotz was in the room with Karim so it was almost like he was there.)
Meanwhile on the CBS boards Brad Beyer and Alicia Coppola were making contact of another kind in posting to the boards and thanking the fans all over again for season 2. Outstanding!
I think I am going to have to borrow a line from Carol Barbee here and I hope she will not mind:
